RETURNS & EXCHANGES
At Get Chicago Packaging, your satisfaction is important to us. While most of our products are standard, ready-to-ship items, some situations may require a return or exchange. Please review the policy below before submitting a request.
1. Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges
To qualify for a return or exchange, products must meet all of the following conditions:

Unused and in resalable condition

In original, undamaged packaging

Return request submitted within 30 days of delivery
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:

Custom-made products
(custom printing, custom sizes, custom additives, special production runs) -
Special-order or non-stock items
(products brought in specifically for your request, such as unique steel strap seals, printed tape, etc.)
2. Reasons We Accept Returns/Exchanges
✔ Our Error
If the wrong item, incorrect quantity, or an order-picking error occurs, we will correct it at no cost to you.
✔ Change of Mind
Returns for preference-based reasons are accepted with a 15%–20% restocking fee, determined by product type and condition.
✔ Customer Order Error
If you ordered the wrong size or product:

The return is allowed, but
-
All freight costs (return shipping + any replacement shipment) are the customer’s responsibility.
3. How to Start a Return or Exchange
Please follow all steps to ensure timely processing.
Step 1 – Contact Customer Service
Email our team at orders@getchicagopackaging.com to initiate the request.
Step 2 – Provide Order Details
Include:

Purchase Order (PO) number or Invoice number
-
Item(s) being returned and the reason
-
Quantities involved
Step 3 – Obtain Your RMA Number
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required.
Returns will not be accepted without a valid RMA.
Step 4 – Returning the Products
Depending on the situation:
Customer-Arranged Return Shipping
Most returns require the customer to ship the items back to us.
Get Chicago Packaging Arranged Pickup
If we are coordinating a pickup:
Please provide:

Full pickup address
-
Receiving hours
-
Contact person name and phone number
This ensures carriers can successfully retrieve the items.
Step 5 – Mark All Return Shipments Clearly
Write the RMA number on:

Each box or pallet, and
-
All associated paperwork
Step 6 – Processing Credits & Exchanges

Replacement items (if needed) will be created as a new order
-
Return credits are typically processed on Fridays

Please allow time for your bank or payment provider to reflect the credit
